Cindy Lynn Stewart

Cindy Lynn Stewart, 48, of Iron River, and formerly of Frederic, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 22, 2020, in Bayfield. She was born Feb. 26, 1972, in Urbana, Illinois.
Cindy graduated from Biloxi High School, Mississippi, in 1990. She served two years in the U.S. Army and decided to go into the medical field. After graduating from nursing school she concentrated on the mental health field. Cindy studied and acquired a master’s degree in substance abuse at Hazelden/Betty Ford. She survived stage four cancer while earning her master’s. She was very dedicated in wanting to help others.
Cindy worked at Hazelden, Aurora and halfway homes in the community. She was presently employed at Northland Counseling Services in Ashland. She positively touched the lives of many with her caring ways.
Cindy enjoyed the outdoors and looked forward to fishing and hunting with her fiance, Joe. She brought so much fun to cookouts and camping.
Cindy was a devoted mom to her son, Dalton. They shared the same birthday and, no matter what, she was going to be with him for their special day.
She is survived by her son, Dalton Stewart, and his fiancee, Amber Fink; parents, Kathy and Roc St. Martin; fiance, Joseph L’Heureux; brother, Wayne Hutchinson of Texas; uncle, Thomas Frost of Arizona; and other family and friends.
A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held later this spring or summer, times will be announced later.
